Vietnam’s Pioneering Organic Honey Brand
Red Melon is an organic, raw honey company based out of Hanoi, Vietnam. There are plenty of generic honey brands that occupy Vietnamese grocers and supermarkets, but Red Melon is the first to introduce raw honey and its benefits to Vietnamese consumers.
Red Melon’s raw honey is sourced from local bees and beekeepers in Vietnam, maintaining freshness, natural flavors, and health benefits that are packed inside. The Red Melon voice is constantly educating about the healthy alternative of raw honey compared to other processed brands, such as the omission of pesticides, additives, and artificial colors. Not only is raw honey better for consumers, Red Melon is proud of their partnership with local beekeepers. By showcasing flavors from flowers that are well known to Vietnamese consumers, Red Melon can naturally belong in the pantries of those looking for a true, local brand.
My role in this project was exploring designs for the brand essence, retaining a rustic but simple label to draw customers in, but remaining authoritative on the health benefits of raw honey, since this was a new product on shelves. We worked on many iterations of the brand, and when we landed on adding illustrations of the beekeepers and vast Vietnamese landscapes, we knew we had a best seller. View the process below.
